So I started playing around with the art program that came with my tablet tonight - Corel Essentials 4 - and figured, hey, why not try to do a speedpaint or summat like dat? :U I mean, I've seen some pretty neat looking speedpaints in my time here on dA, so I figured I'd give it a whirl.
It'd double as learning how to use Corel since I'm also thinking of using it to illustrate some thingy for school but meh
At first I had musings about doing Sandshrew or Sableye since I knew I wanted to use a dark background, but then I also realized that I wanted to do FIRE. XD Thus, I did Charmander. Not much of a background to it, just a blobby dark mess, but whatever.
I think it turned out rather well, myself... looks better at a smaller size, lul, but oh well. Not bad for about... an hour's worth of work.
So much for looking at a bunch of different brushes though... I used the digital airbrush for all of this XD
Disclaimery junk
Charmander doesn't belong to me, it belongs to Nintendo

I like this- it's cute!
Corel 4's a pretty decent program once you figure it out- it's what I learned on.
